This house is fully equipped and perfect for a family holiday. We stayed as three families across generations from grandparents, teenagers, and young children and everyone had a wonderful time. There was truly something for everyone. The dads especially enjoyed the golf, as the house is located right on a golf course. The kids loved the Japanese bath and were fascinated by the ducks crossing over to the pond behind the house. The views are absolutely stunning, the majestic mountain with clouds hanging over it like a tablecloth reminded us of Table Mountain in South Africa. The location is very convenient, about an hour’s drive from Christchurch, and the nearest supermarket is around 30 minutes away in Methven. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for a relaxing and memorable family getaway.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Yuki’s Chalet! The views were simply stunning, offering a breathtaking backdrop that made every moment special. The place itself was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need and more. From the kitchen appliances to thoughtful little touches, no detail was overlooked. A delightful surprise was the unexpected bottle of bubbles and chocolates waiting for us on arrival—such a lovely gesture that made the stay feel even more special. The host was beyond helpful and genuinely lovely, always available when needed and truly went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s rare to find accommodation that combines such beautiful surroundings, incredible amenities and a host who truly cares. Can’t wait to return!

Judie was helpful from our first inquiry right through to arrival even offering to assist with a delivery. Judie even left us a welcoming gift. The house was spacious and homely. The views mesmerizing. The perfect base for a holiday.

Everything was amazing, from the well equipped kitchen to the comfortable bedding. The bathtub was the highlight and our family really enjoyed our weekend together in this beautiful property. The house was a little bit hard to find, but follow the instructions and you will get there.

The Japanese bathhouse was great - it's a real relaxation experience; not your usual spa pool. We opened the windows and looked at the stars and listened to the wind in the trees - quite amazing! The double-sided fireplace in the lounge was also lovely and made the whole living area really cozy. We'll be back!

There are views out to the mountains which we enjoyed while sitting in the patio. The home is well appointed with lots of amenities and plenty of room for the whole family.
